The Criteria Search tab in the Search for Bonds panel of the Home page contains the most common criteria used when searching for bonds. You can search for bonds that meet most of your needs using this panel.
Bond search routines use an "and" association with each selection. That is, the bond or offering must satisfy all the criteria you specify to be returned in the search results. This means that the more criteria you enter, the narrower your search will be, and a fewer number of bonds will be returned. The fewer criteria you enter, the wider your search will be and a greater number of bonds will be returned. Keep this in mind when defining your search criteria. |
To perform a basic search:
Click the Criteria Search tab in the Search for Bonds panel of the Home page.
Define the search criteria. Only the Asset Class field is required.
Select at least one asset class in the required Asset Class field.
Select one or more values in the State field if you select Municipal in the Asset Class field.
To include all states in the search, select the Select All check box.
Use the CUSIP or Name field to perform a text search, if desired.
Warning |
Because the contents of this field are used literally,
you may inadvertently constrain the search and not return
any results if you specify additional values. For
example, if you enter a CUSIP and then specify a coupon,
the CUSIP will not be returned if it does not match the
coupon. The search will not return any results.
If you search for bonds using a text value and do not receive any results, review all of your search criteria entries to identify any conflicts. |
Complete the appropriate data entry fields to perform a range search, if desired.
Use the Help glossary to find definitions for data fields.
Click Find Bonds to start the search. Bonds that match your criteria are returned in the Search Results page.
To change the criteria you have specified, click Clear to clear your selections and start over before clicking Find Bonds.
