The following search field is always accessible to perform a text-based search.
Use this field to search for bonds by entering a text or numeric value and clicking Go. Bonds that match the value somewhere in their definition are returned in the Search Results page.
You can enter any
alphanumeric value in the Search field. However, you may want to review
the hints that follow to enter more meaningful values to return the desired
bonds. You may also want to review the "Search by CUSIP, ISIN,
ticker, or text" tip sheet available in the Learning Center of the
Tools tab.
CUSIP, ISIN
Enter a full 8- or 9-character CUSIP, a 6-character CUSIP root, or a 12- or 8-character ISIN. You can also copy & paste multiple CUSIPs to the CUSIP field.
Key Words
Enter any of the key words in this list.
You can also enter "not" to a keyword to exclude bonds with the keyword. Entering not taxable, for example, prevents taxable bonds from being returned by the search.
Issue Description
Any text you enter that is not identified as a keyword is considered to be part of the issue description. Bonds that include a word that starts with the text you enter will be returned when you click Go. For example, entering "Ford" does not return bonds with "Hartford" in the issue description but it does return a bond with "Fordson" in the description.
Coupon
Enter a number with a percent sign (%) to return bonds with a matching coupon rate.
Maturity
Enter a number greater than 2000 to specify a maturity date. Bonds with a maturity date that match the number you enter are returned.
Asset Class
Enter a complete asset class name or abbreviation to return bonds of that class. For example, enter:
Muni, municipal, or municipals to return municipal bonds.
Corp, corporate, or corporates to return corporate bonds.
Agy, agency, or agencies to return agency bonds.
Treas, treasury, or treasuries to return treasury bonds.
Cd to return CDs.
Cmo, pass thru, or pass through to return mortgage-backed securities
Preferred to return preferred securities
State
Enter a full state name or a 2-letter state code to return municipal bonds. Any bonds with an issue description that includes your entry are also returned.
Ticker Symbol
Enter a ticker symbol to return corporate bonds issued by the company identified by the symbol.
