The Calculator tab of the Bond Offering Detail overlay and the What-If Calculator link in the Tools page displays the Bond Calculator tool, which enables you to modify one or more bond values to explore different purchasing and sales scenarios. You can also obtain more detail about a bond than is provided in the standard search results (i.e., see Call at various stages).
To use the calculator:
Click the Calculator tab in the Bond Offering Detail overlay. Information for the selected bond is displayed.
-Or-
Click the What-If Calculator link in the Tools page. Enter a CUSIP in the Ticket Calculator field and click Load. Information for the selected CUSIP is displayed.
Modify the values in any of the editable fields, which are displayed in the first row of the tab. You must enter a quantity.
Click Calculate. Results are displayed on the right side of the tab.
Click Reset to re-display the original values for the CUSIP.
Enter a different CUSIP in the Ticket Calculator field and click Load to view scenarios for a different bond.
