The Market View tab of the Bond Offering Detail overlay contains the Market View price discovery tool that empowers you to evaluate bond prices within the context of prevailing market conditions. Using this tool, you can obtain pre-trade decision support with valuable data.
Market View information is displayed in the following panels:
Issue Description
This panel displays common information about the selected bond such as name, coupon, maturity, and ratings. Click the plus sign in the Moody/S&P heading to display full ratings information.
Price/Yield
This panel displays the best current bid and offer for the CUSIP along with comparable offerings.
TRACE/MSRB Reported Trades
This panel optionally displays TRACE or MSRB trade details for the last two or last 30 days. Click the enabled link to alternate the view between the time periods.
MarketView Charts for <CUSIP>
This panel displays two charts. The top chart is a summary chart optionally based on price or yield. The bottom chart is alternately based on price or yield for the time period selected in the TRACE/MSRB Reported Trades panel.
Click the enabled link (Yield or Price) at the top of the panel to alternate the charts between yield and price. Click the Enlarge link on either chart to view a larger version of the chart.
Click Print to generate a PDF version of the information present in the Market View tab.
Click MarketView in the Learning Center area of the Tools page to display a tip sheet with directions for using and understanding the information presented in the MarketView tab.
