The Messages from Other Users panel of the My Alert Settings tab enables you to define how you are alerted when you receive a message from another user.
When another user sends you a message, the message is always sent with a visual alert. Thus, the Display an alert check box is automatically selected and inactive. You can, however, indicate whether or not you want to receive an email alert as well.
To receive an email alert when another user sends you a message:
Select the Sending an email check box.
Click Save to save your entries.
